Yes people this is one of the most amazing jams ever. The idea came when I was searching for a jam or more like a jam-sauce to dress one of my finest desserts. This dessert has a code name and it’s called Mairy Poppins. Don’t ask why in the next days you will have your answer. Lol!
So I came up with this fantastic jam and literally there was a strawberry frenzy in here! 4 medium jars I filled and now I have nothing! The thing about this jam is that its smells like summer!! Yes summer, with exotic little scents because of the rum! The rum was a last minute addition.
Of course you can use the real thing but because of Mando I didn’t want to use alcohol. The other day when I was at the supermarket I found a packet with random liquid flavorings. One of them was rum, I remembered that I had it and just when my jam was ready I poured it in! Such a nice touch! Exotic!
I suppose you can do the same with cherries! Mmm.. Yes that’s a very good idea! Another recipe just came in mind! Yum!
I like this jam because it can work as a topping to cheesecakes, tarts or Mairy Poppins, lol. You can add one or two teaspoons in your yogurt for a delightful and light dessert or in your ice cream! Especially with kaimaki or plain vanilla will be just perfect. Wherever you might use it one thing is for sure, you’re going to love it!
